Yesterday, I had a surprise opportunity arise; I was able to lead chapel and speak on God’s timing. Every morning, I receive a bible verse of the day from Bible Gateway; I had not yet read it that morning before chapel.  I opened the email and started reading it to the students, knowing I was leaving this opportunity to the Holy Spirit.   “Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.” (Joel 2:23 ESV).  I was amazed at God’s timing and how fitting the verse was.  We had the rain showers Monday and Tuesday, and every time I come home there are more and more leaves on the ground.  This is a sure sign of Fall nearing.  How was God able to provide such a verse at such a time?  He’s God

He knows what we need and when we need it before we even know.  He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  He is telling this to people who have lived in captivity for many years, letting them know that He is in control.  This verse applies to us today as we go about the hustle and bustle of life.  We can find peace and comfort in knowing, no matter the situation; He has a plan for us.  Remember to always look to Him and allow Him to use you for His plans.
