This past weekend we celebrated Easter.  It was a beautiful time to be outside and enjoying God’s creation, and a beautiful weekend to be reminded of the precious gift that God has given to us.  It is good to recall that God had a plan for us a means of salvation since the beginning of time.

Wednesday, during chapel, we celebrated baptismal birthdays for students for the months of April, May and June.  These baptismal remembrances provide a great opportunity to reflect on our gift of salvation.  What an amazing gift we have in baptism!

We have a loving and gracious God.  A God who is present in us, around us, and showing His glory.  This year’s theme of REAL. PRESENT. GOD. has been lived and witnessed over the course of the year, through the student’s offerings, singing, collecting of items and many more ways.  Teachers and students have led chapels, dramas and other performances. These gifts and services were not completed because of us, but because Jesus is working through us and in us.  1 John 4:19 tells us that “We love because he first loved us.” Every day we have the blessing of living out this love with those around us. His love is also manifested in the death and resurrection of His Son for our sins.

He is Risen.  He is Risen Indeed.  Alleluia
