National Lutheran

School Accreditation

Below are Outstanding Strengths identified by the visiting team based on the information provided to them as well as their observations and time speaking with the MLA community. I have also included some areas of growth that were identified through the self-study and by the team. We will work on these improvements over the next couple of years while striving to continue to live up to the strengths of MLA.

Thank you to all the participants who helped to make our Self-Study and Accreditation visit a success.  This process began a little over 18 months ago and the visiting team shared their exit report on Wednesday (4/10). The team that visited MLA was able to witness and “feel” the relationships and support that is at MLA. There were seven standards with 41 total indicators that the self-study was completed over and the team was here to verify.  The average national score is between 2.70-2.80 with only two to five schools receiving a score greater than 3. We went through this process five years ago and received a score of 2.73. I am proud to share that the visiting team, after verifying the information we provided, scored MLA at 3.02. This is a tremendous accomplishment that takes the entire community to be involved.

The visiting team shared that they were honored to have the opportunity to visit.
